Maricopa is located just 16 miles southwest of Phoenix, and 32 miles from Sky Harbor Airport. It has direct southern access to the I-8 for travel to the West while bypassing Metro area traffic congestion. Maricopa City limits currently encompass an area of 45 square miles, with a total planning area of 278 square miles. Growth Projections

Residential development builders are continuing to plan and build quality homes and communities for our current and future residents. 59,748 new residential homes are already approved or in the planning stages, which would equate to 167,297 residents at completion.
